Abby – Animals Phonics Island Adventure

Animals Phonics Island Adventure (Montessori Pink Reading Initial Sounds) is desiged to teach children initial words sounds as recommended by the Montessori method.

You can start the game either by tapping on the screen in the main menu or the start button. This is also the place where you can access settings if you want to turn on/off the music, animal sound effects, or if you wish to erase all your game progress up to the point.

Once the game starts, you will automatically access the first letter sector (out of the total of seven sectors). Each sector progresses in six steps and once all are finished, another level is unlocked. You can access any of the unlocked sectors from the main menu.

The six steps of each sector are as follows: matching, and train levels 1-5.

n matching, you need to match the same letters. Simultaneously with revealing the cards, children will hear the sounds of the letters, which helps them to foster the association of the letter sound and its symbolic notation.

The train levels are all a variant on the same game when a child needs to find an animal in the scenery that begins with a particular sound (the first letters are written next to each animal: vowels are written in blue and consonants in pink color). At times, there may be more correct options but it is sufficient that the child picks only as many animals as there are wagons. In the first level, there is one wagon, in the second two etc. In the last level, children receive one different task for each wagon, so that they have to prove they mastered all the letters in a given letter sector.

When the child completes the last letter sector that encompasses all letters from A-Z, an exicting animation is presented as a reward.
